Teledyne ISCO 6712 + Consibio Logger

Teledyne ISCO 6712 is a water sampler / measurement station, that can be used to sample bodies of water. In general, water samplers / measurement stations offer several benefits:

  • Quality Monitoring: They allow for regular collection of water samples, facilitating monitoring of pollutants and contaminants in stormwater runoff.
  • Data Accuracy: By collecting representative samples over time, water samplers provide accurate data for assessing water quality and compliance with regulations.

Wiring of Sensor and Logger

Items needed

Connecting a Teledyne ISCO 6712 Measurement Station via. Solid State Relay 

To wire the automatic sample collector, a 2-core cable needs to be pulled from the collector, through one of the two cable glands in the Logger, and connected to the SSR expansion, as indicated in the image. It doesn't matter whether the expansion is in Port A or Port B.

  1. Open the Logger
  2. Check if the SSR expansion is mounted in either Port A or Port B
  3. Pull a 2-core cable from the automatic sample collector through the cable gland
  4. Insert the contact wire into Load A and the ground wire into Load B on the terminal block on the SSR expansion.
  5. Tighten the cable gland around the cable to prevent it from coming loose.
  6. Close the Logger.

This configuration leverages the Logger's compatibility with Solid State Relay signals and the versatility of its SSR Expansion Board, enabling seamless integration with industry-standard control outputs for efficient control and monitoring.
