Usually, Consibio Logger is shipped with a 230 AC power supply, that can be used to power the device continuously or used, when batteries need to be recharged.
However, if the devices should be installed on a plant or some other site, where it's necessary to use longer cabling for the power supply, it is possible to connect an external 24 VDC power supply directly to the Logger.
The Logger must be powered directly through the M12 plug on the top left side. The plug is an industry-standard 5 pole A-coded M12 connector:
The pins in the M12 connector are numbered from 1-5 as shown below:
When connecting an external supply, the external supply should be connected as such:
- Pin 1: 24VDC (+)
- Pin 3: GND (-)
Where can I get an M12 connector?
Consibio sells compatible M12 connectors as an accessory for Consibio Logger. Reach out on sales@consibio.com for more info. Otherwise, all industry standard M12 connectors (5-pole, A-coded) can be used.
Consibio's standard accessory M12 connectors is field-installable with easy-to-use screw terminals:
The pins are numbered on the connector, and should be wired accordingly:
When the connector is assembled, plug it to the unit and it should now receive external power.
