Ever wished for a feature to make a temporary edit for making devices log data more often within the next 24 hours? Look no further.
In Consibio Cloud, you have the possibility to make a temporary edit so you can adjust certain device settings for a specified period before the settings revert back to the normal settings.
Temporary edit - Devices
If you want to temporary edit device settings across multiple devices, open up the project where your devices are and follow these simple steps:
- Go to the Devices tab
- Select the devices you want to edit by clicking on the device in the Select column.
- Press the (...) settings symbol
- Click Temporary Edit
A menu similar to this will pop up:
Inside this menu, there are three sections for the temporary edits:
- Expire Time - When should the changes revert back
- Values - Max Offline & Max Interval - Adjust the max. offline time and max measurement interval of the devices accordingly
- Target - The selected devices which will receive the temporary changes
If you want to make temporary edits to both the max offline and max measurement interval:
- Click in the Max offline field and change the value to your desired setting
- Click in the Max interval field and change the value to your desired setting
- Press Save temporary change
In this example, the max offline and max meas. interval is changed to 2m and 1m, respectively. The current temporary changes can be seen in the lower right corner of the target section
If you want to revert the temporary edit before the expire time, simply press the Revert now button in the current temp. changes column.
So whether you have 1, 2 or a whole fleet of devices, temporary editing has never been easier with Consibio Cloud. If you would like to be able to edit more temporary settings, please reach out to support@consibio.com for feature requests.
