Geopal CH4-sensor (LEL) is a IR sensor, that can be used to measure methane and other explosives in remote monitoring of e.g. industrial safety and biogas leakage.
Together with the Consibio Logger, you can explosives in real-time to provide valuable insights for:
- Early Detection of Hazards: Provides real-time monitoring of methane levels, enabling early detection of gas leaks or accumulation, thus preventing potential fire or explosion hazards.
- Compliance: Helps industrial facilities comply with safety regulations and standards by continuously monitoring methane levels and ensuring adherence to permissible exposure limits.
- Environmental Protection: Supports environmental protection efforts by minimizing methane emissions, which contribute to air pollution and climate change.
Wiring of Sensor and Logger
Items needed
- 1 x Logger
- 1 x 4-20 mA Expansion Board v2.1
- 1 x Geopal CH4 IR Sensor
Connecting a Geopal CH4 IR sensor via. 4-20 mA
To integrate the Geopal CH4 IR sensor with the Consibio Logger via 4-20 mA, utilize the 4-20 mA Expansion Board and follow these connections:
- Black wire to GND
- Red wire to 12V
- Yellow wire to 4-20 mA IN1
This configuration leverages the Logger's compatibility with the 4-20 mA protocol and the versatility of its 4-20 mA Expansion Board, enabling seamless integration with industry-standard communication protocols for efficient data acquisition and monitoring.
